Timey Wimey Terminator?

Matt Smith, the recently retired Doctor, will be joining the cast of the new Terminator: Genesis. He joins Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor. She is best known for her work as Daenerys Targaryen on the HBO opus Game of Thrones. These are two of my favorite performers from the last five years teaming up in one movie so that is a plus. Matt Smith will hopefully be bringing some comic relief to a very dark premise. If you don’t know the premise of the terminator movies, I assure you it is far more entertaining than it appears at first glance. Evil robots sent from the future to kill you; because you are going to eventually have a child that will resist their overlording, genocidal ways. But if that sounds far fetched to you, chances are that you are not a fan of Doctor Who. Doctor Who had about ten percent of the action of the Terminator films and one percent of the budget so I therefore cannot wait to see Matt Smith stretch his wings in the big Hollywood world of sci-fi. I just hope he and the mother of dragons bring their “A” game. Taste It to the Whovian casting director for giving our fine Doctor from across the pond a chance.
