Season two of The World According To Jeff Goldblum takes on dogs, dancing, magic, fireworks, and monsters. Goldblum brings back his brand of eccentricity and childlike wonder to five new episodes on Disney+. While the titular host of the show might not be everyone’s cup of tea at first glance, the excitement and wholesomeness of Goldblum can melt many a curmudgeon’s heart.

Kathryn O’Kane is credited as directing all five episodes with Toby Oppenheimer and Rob Farquhar assisting on the last three. This doesn’t seem strange, but from reports on what was shot when, it could be because of COVID. Apparently, a few episodes were shot with the Fireworks episode slated to be the first. It wound up being the penultimate episode for this season drop. It is thought there will be the rest of the filmed episodes dropped at a later date.

Some people may get enough Goldblum in just the 30 minutes of one episode, but I like how Disney released five episodes in one day. I enjoyed season 1, but constantly forgot to tune in on Friday to watch new episodes once The Mandalorian was done. However, watching all five on Disney+ Day, I got excited to see the rest. Goldblum is awkward and strange, but the way he looks at life and his attitude towards all he meets in the series is the comfort food of documentaries. It might not be good for you, but it gives you that warm familiar feeling. Those with a Disney+ subscription should watch at least topics of interest to them. To quote the man himself “I give it Ten Goldblums.”
