Mike Hatton might not be a name that you know yet unless you are a fan of the direct to video section at your local video store.  But I will be damned if he has not stumbled upon the most amazing fodder for a comedy feature film.  Check out indiegogo.com and search Live Nude Girls.  His upcoming movie is set in the world of strip clubs.  These “gentlemen’s” clubs are the most ironically funny places that you can possibly get hammered at.  For god’s sake, you get to pay beautiful women to hang out with you, laugh at your jokes, and make you feel pretty.  This project deserves your support for two very good reasons.  Reason one: Mike Hatton promised his wife that if this movie is not successful, he is going to retire from show business.  This guy is doing what he loves.  Help him do what he loves.  It’s just good karma.  Reason two: Dave Foley is starring as one of the owners of the strip club depicted in the film.  Talk about going out with a bang.  If I’m making my last best attempt at making the world laugh, I’m calling one of the Kids in the Hall to help make that happen.
Mike Hatton has been a member of the Second City Conservatory and the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater.  His character Shane is like him – a guy from Chicago. Shane inherits a struggling strip club in Los Angeles at the height of the gloriously big haired 80’s.  Har Mar Superstar joins the cast as Mike’s best friend who is just along for the ride.  The cast is also rounded out by many ex-adult film stars that would like to show the world that their talents extend beyond their stamina and ability to turn you on.  Bree Olson plays the newest dancer Chloe who is the best thing the struggling club has going for it.  Best known for being one of Charlie Sheen’s goddesses, Bree is one of the most genuinely good people that I have ever crossed paths with in the strip club industry.
Three years ago, Bree Olson was the feature entertainer at the strip club that I was working for.  Up until two years ago, I had been working in the strip club industry since I was twenty one years old.  I grew up in an incredibly sexually repressed, religious environment.  When I got out on my own, everyone told me that I should do what I love if I wanted to be happy.  The two things I loved most in life were food and women.  I worked in my early years in the food service industry.  So once I was old enough, I headed straight for world famous Big Al’s in Peoria, Illinois.  As a strip club DJ, I was afforded the opportunity to explore work all over America, but I found that the adult industry is very bad for the soul.  The greatest comedy comes from truth and pain.  Strip clubs and all of the adult industry are filled with broken souls doing anything that they can to make it through to the next morning.  Bree Olson saw the chemistry between me and one of the other dancers.  She told us that we should grab each other and run as far away from the adult industry as we could get.  Now I have a beautiful baby boy and an even more beautiful wife.  She is a full time student, and I am a general manager and investor in my own restaurant.  I owe all this to the advice of the good hearted former adult film star that is staring alongside Mike Hatton in this movie.  I cannot wait to own this movie and watch it with my family.  On second thought, my son probably should not watch this for awhile.
There is no possible way that this movie will not be hilarious given the source material.  If you believe in anything good in the universe, support this movie.  Mike Hatton is a genius for bringing all these amazingly talented people together.  He is staking his entire future in comedy on this project.  He deserves your support for the courage of going all in.   Maybe that is why poker badass Dave Foley is a part of this project? But most of all, Bree Olson is not just some ex-porno star.  She started a process that made me the happy domesticated Dave that I am today.  Support this movie.  It just might change your life.
