Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Trailer

The trailer for the 2nd installment of the Planet of the Apes reboot has arrived. This time a lot more apes and a lot less humans. The humans that have survived are led by Gary Oldman. Andy Serkis returns as Caeser. Looking forward to this one.
Synopsis:
“A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier.
“They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.”

The last one had a somewhat ridiculous showdown scene. Don’t get me wrong, the action was definitely entertaining and I enjoyed it, but the inability of a dozen cops – it could’ve been any humans – equipped with guns to mow down a wave of apes was kinda unbelievable. The cgi apes were weakest in this scene as well. This makes me worry that the full scale showdown with humanity might be as imbalanced and illogical. This has the potential to be epic and awesome and I really hope it is.
