Discover the special bond — and uncommon competitive spirit — shared by the world’s Rubik’s Cube-solving record breakers in this documentary.

A Rubik’s Cube is an elusive puzzle. Many have tried, but very few are able to solve it. Even more rare, are those who can solve it… in mere seconds. “The Speed Cubers” is a heart-warming documentary about 2 Rubik’s Cube solving champions, Feliks Zemdegs and Max Park on their journey to compete and win the coveted title of champion (in the 3 x 3 cube category specifically).

Feliks Zemdegs is a cube solving record holder and is balancing his love for solving cubes with life as he becomes an adult, gets a full time job and moves away from home. Max Park is a fresh face on the scene. It wasn’t long after he began competing that he quickly began to break some of the records famously held by Zemdegs. He has autism and it impacts his ability to socialize, but he has a great support system in his parents. They accompany him to competitions, which provide a great outlet for his jaw dropping talent and skill.

The 2 competitors become friends and form a bond that encourages friendly competition as they trade wins, records and memories. “The Speed Cubers” is a feel good documentary. With a run time of 39 minutes it pulls you in without needing to pad the runtime. Audiences will find themselves rooting for Feliks and Max, in both competition and life.
