Welcome to Episode 357. This week we are joined this week by good friend of the podcast and host of Smorgasborg: A Star Trek Universe Podcast, Neil Thollander. Smorgasborg is a show about the greater Star Trek Universe, as well as a recap show about whichever series is currently running. You can find Smorgasborg on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, pretty much everywhere you find podcasts.

This episode we are shaking things up a bit. We go over the winners of the Jiu Jitsu digital movie codes but instead of jumping into Good Pop Bad Pop this week we start with what I feel are the big topics of discussion. Why bury them in the desert with that one mistake you made in Las Vegas? It wasn’t your fault. Accidents happen. But it will haunt you forever and we are onto you. You can’t run from your past.

This week we talk about the supposed Disney+ Leak. There’s a commercial that has been floating around that looks legit and gives details about MCU Disney+ series release dates, a Black Widow Disney+ announcement and a new section on Disney+ simply titled Disney 18+.

You can watch that very video HERE https://youtu.be/WZmfxD9StdM

We’ve got some “rumors” as well for Thor: Love and Thunder as well as “possible leaks” from Doctor Strange: In The Multiverse of Madness.

Then we dive into the latest chapter of The Mandalorian with a Chapter 13 “The Jedi” discussion. This is SPOILER FILLED! We talk about the episode, our thoughts, what we liked and didn’t like and we have tons of speculation about what’s to come.

We finish the episode with Good Pop Bad Pop this week. You heard me. There’s no News or DC News this week. When Mike Tyson fights Roy Jones Jr. you end the podcast early. Anyway, in Good Pop Bad Pop for movies this week Brian talks about 2 new movies on VOD. The first is The Donut King about Cambodian refugee Ted Ngoy who built a multi-million dollar empire by baking America’s favorite pastry — the doughnut. Then Brian talks about the MMA drama Embattled starring Stephen Dorff. Brian and Neil discuss the new Amazon Studios film Uncle Frank starring Paul Bettany and Sophia Lillis. They also talk about the new Ron Howard film Hillbilly Elegy starring Amy Adams and Glenn Close. We give our thoughts on the new holiday film Happiest Season on Hulu. And we talk about The Mystery of D.B. Cooper on HBO.

Brian and Jake talk about the documentary Belushi on Showtime. Using previously unheard audio-tapes recorded shortly after John Belushi’s death, director R.J. Cutler’s documentary examines the too-short life of once-in-a-generation talent who captured the hearts and funny bones of devoted audiences. And we all discuss the new Melissa McCarthy HBO Max original movie Superintelligence.

In Television we talk about the new Saved by the Bell revival show on Peacock and The Flight Attendant starring Kaley Cuoco on HBO Max.
