In Good Pop Bad Pop this week Brian talks about a few movies he’s seen this week in theaters. The new action movie Vanguard starring Jackie Chan just hit theaters where covert security company Vanguard is the last hope of survival for an accountant after he is targeted by the world’s deadliest mercenary organization. He also reviews the drama-comedy The Climb out now in theaters as well as Honest Thief starring Liam Neeson as Tom a notorious bank robber wanting to lead an honest life now, turns himself in, only to be double-crossed by two ruthless FBI agents. Brian and Paul have watched the new Hulu Original movie Run and we give our thoughts on Sarah Paulson’s latest film from the director of Searching.

We talk about a couple of documentaries this week. First we talk about Life After Flash that chronicles the life of Sam J Jones after filming Flash Gordon. And we have a discussing about Tara Wood’s documentary QT8: The First Eight that goes over the life and first eight films from writer/director Quentin Tarantino.

In TV we talk about the new Netflix show We Are The Champions that explores an array of unique competitions, from the quirky to the bizarre, and meet their passionate communities in this docuseries. We briefly talk about the new Animaniacs revival on Hulu. Brian and Paul discuss No Man’s Land on Hulu. Paul talks about A Teacher on FX starring Kate Mara and Nick Robinson. Brian and Paul talk about Marvel 616 on Disney+. And we all watched the HBO Max Original The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion.

In News we’re getting a new Transformers film from the director of Creed 2. Robert Englund has joined the cast of Stranger Things Season 4. And we have a director attache for a new Predator film.

In Marvel News there’s been some info that’s come out about the film and it’s characters from the recently released Marvel Studios’ Black Widow: The Official Movie Special Book and we go over a few of things of note. Deadpool 3 is coming and we’ve got new writers attached to the movie. We discuss Deadpool holding onto it’s R rating as well.

In DC News Wonder Woman 1984 is headed to HBO Max. What does this mean for the future of movies?

And we talk a little about The Mandalorian Season 2.
