Welcome to Episode 345. In this episode the Leftovers are joined by the host of Picardcast, She-Ra and the Podcast of Power and Number One Comic Books host Rebekah Dahling. That sir/ma’am is what we like to call a bonafide cornucopia of podcasts.

Anyway, in this episode for Good Pop Bad Pop in Television Brian has watched The Umbrella Academy Season 2 and gives his rating. We also talk about the new Apple TV Plus series Ted Lasso starring Jason Sudeikis as a small-time football coach who is hired to coach a professional soccer team in England, despite having no experience coaching soccer. We also discuss the new Netflix series Teenage Bounty Hunters where 2 sixteen year old fraternal twin sisters become bounty hunters. We’ve also watched the first episode of Amazon’s new reality based competition show Worlds Toughest Race: Eco-Challenge Fiji hosted by Bear Grylls. And Jake and Rebekah have both watched Muppets Now on Disney+.

For movies this week we discuss Project Power that just dropped on Netflix where a pill gives its users unpredictable superpowers for five minutes. Brian watched the documentary Turtle Power: The Definitive History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and gives his thoughts. Rebekah has seen the documentary Tread on Netflix and tells us what she thinks of this unbelievable story. Brian watched Spree a horror/slasher film starring Joe Keery of Strangers Things fame where he plays Kurt Kunkle a rideshare driver who has figured out a deadly plan to go viral. Brian also watched Random Acts of Violence based on the 2010 comic book of the same name. In the movie a pair of comic book writers begin to notice scary similarities between the character they created and horrific real-life events. The film is produced and directed by Jay Baruchel, who wrote the screenplay with Jesse Chabot, and stars Jesse Williams, Jordana Brewster, Niamh Wilson, and Baruchel.

In News we talk about Tron 3 possibly moving forward with a director and actor attached. And Ryan Reynolds launches his very own streaming service.

In Marvel News the MCU’s Spider-Man 3 has a rumored title and we discuss how legitimate the rumored title could be. We also discuss all of the Shia LaBeouf rumors concerning him joining the MCU.
