Welcome to Episode 285.  Not gonna lie.  This episode gets a little weird.  You’ve been warned.  This week the Leftovers are joined by two of my favorite guests, Neil Thollander and Tristan Brown.  In Good Pop Bad Pop Brian and Tristan talk about the new Aladdin film and then we talk about Brightburn with Elizabeth Banks produced by James Gunn.  We all talk the new Olivia Wilde directed coming of age comedy Booksmart.  Neil talks about a couple of movies he hopes will change your view on Robert Pattinson as Batman.  Jake talks about the new Lonely Island short on Netflix, The Unauthorized Bash Brothers Experience.  Brian and Tristan talk about a couple of new Netflix films: Rim of the World and The Brawler.  And for trailers we discuss the new Terminator: Dark Fate and Once Upon a Time In… Hollywood trailers.
In News we’re talking Stranger Things news, a new podcast Brian is listening to called Blockbuster, Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Tenet and some possibly troubling news for the Spawn movie reboot.  Oh, and we talk about the possibility of a Stallone classic Cobra being turned into a TV series.
In Marvel News a new Spider-Man clip confirms that the MCU is set in the 616 universe.
And finally, in Star Wars news we’re talking about the new Vanity Fair article with details for The Rise of Skywalker AND possible HUGE spoilers for the film as well.

“The world is in the grips of an economic crisis. Due to mass unemployment, advanced technology has been outlawed. The world is now divided between those with implanted technology and those without. When the world’s most famous anti-tech crusader dies and is resurrected using the illegal technology he has sworn to eliminate, he must decide who to fight with his terrifying new powers. From visionary Grammy-nominated producer and DJ, Steve Aoki, and Eisner award-winning writer Jim Krueger, with art by Neil Edwards and Jheremy Raapack.”
