Welcome to episode 251 and welcome home Captain Marvel! This week we are joined by Captain Marvel superfan Ashley de Riveter to talk about the first trailer for Captain Marvel. We rate the trailer and break it down and give our hopes and theories for the 21st installment into the MCU.
In Good Pop Bad Pop Brian gives his thoughts on the new Nicolas Cage horror film Mandy, the controversial film Assassination Nation, the live action version of Bleach on Netflix and the new Paul Feig film A Simple Favor. Jake gives his thoughts on the Mary Poppins Returns trailer and a new anime he’s watching Magical Girl Raising Project. Ashley talks about her experience playing the new Spider-Man PS4 game. Brian and Ashley talk about the new film Summer of 84 and then we all talk about Maniac on Netflix starring Jonah Hill and Emma Stone.
In News we talk about Bryan Singer possibly directing a Red Sonja film. Is Apple going family friendly with their streaming service? The Childs Play reboot has some new cast members and a first look at the new Chucky has been revealed. Jordan Peele teased us this week with his new The Twilight Zone series. We also talk about the news of Space Jam 2.
In Marvel News we talk about Disney Play getting MCU characters starring in their own limited series as well as Bob Iger addressing the X-Men, Fantastic Four and Deadpool. In DC News we’re talking more about the Joaquin Phoenix Joker film and some new Wonder Woman 1984 rumors. So…. it’s a show.
